Abstract

Polymeric foam has found increasing applications in insulation coatings, aerospace, marine, automotive industry and other fields in recent years. In this study, the results of studies on the mechanical behaviors of polyurethane foam (PUF) coatings investigated were collected as a paper. These mechanical tests include DMA (Differential Mechanical Analyzer), compression tests at five different strain rates and residual tensile strength test were carried out to characterize the properties of the PUF. According to these results PUFs have proper mechanical properties to be a good insulation coating.
