چکیده مقاله

In this study, the effect of roughness of cell walls on the acoustic behavior of flexible polyurethane foams (FPUFs) were investigated. FPUFs were fabricated using linear saturated aliphatic polyester resin as polyols, MDI (isocyanate index 100%(, ethylene glycol (EG), mono ethanol amine (MEA) and ethylene diamine (EDA) as chain extenders triethylamine (TEA) One-shot bulk polymerization. Cell walls roughness and sound propertiesof FPUFswere studied by topology images of atomic force microscopy ‎‎(AFM) and impedance tube, respectively. From sound absorption spectra, it was found that by increasing roughness of cell walls in FPUFs from 154.73 nm to 328.49, sound absorption efficiency of FPUF increased by 13.23% from (area under the sound absorption curves increased from 2843 to 3219.075 Hz). So FPUFs with high cell wall roughness, can be a promising candidate for using as sound proofing in transportation industries such as airplanes, trains and etc.
