چکیده مقاله

This study presents an eco-friendy method for the acrylating of epoxidized soybean oil (ESO) using viscosity control agents to produce highly acrylated ESO (AESO). FTIR and 1H NMR analyses confirmed the successful acrylation and epoxide consumption, validating the approach's efficacy. AESO diluted with glycidyl neodecanoate shows promise as an eco-friendly bio-based oligomer for light-curable coatings with impressive properties. The film gel fraction, pendulum hardness and gloss were found to be 97%, 32, 91.1%, respectively. The water contact angle of the uv-cured film was measured tobe 89° which showed a relatively hydrophobic behavior. This eco-friendly, cost-effective synthesis offers AESO as a sustainable alternative to petroleum-derived materials in diverse industrial applications.
